Narrative through illustration #2 Aquatic Mathematics was wrapped up last night. I am hoping to create a load of paintings on wood and paper for a future show of fathomfull wonder including this little journal. Thanks for looking.

The story behind these is that I started a sketchbook 2 years ago and have ended up trying to make it into a cohesive piece. More or less it shows a progression in working out some ideas and skills. These are a few of the last drawings I have been able to cram in the book. Its all ragged and torn up now and starting to make me feel like I accomplished something insignificant to many but fluid and fun for me.

I have been away from Walking on Water for over a year now, but I was looking through my stuff and I found an image I created for the upcoming movie titled Walking On Water. We had been playing around with the name Promise Land because we thought they were going to Jerusalem in the movie. www.walkingonwater.org

I am intrigued by anthropomorphism in relation to a lot of things, but especially in relation to animals. We assign human characteristics to them every day. A good example can be viewed by watching Jessica and I interact with our cats. To better my illustration skills I am starting to work on a project called Alms for the Birds. It stems from a related scripture about God providing for the birds and beasts so why not us humans (Matthew 6:26). Well, its kind of related so this is what I drew. It’s an excuse for me to work on drawing animals like humans.
